Classroom Teacher - Year 2, Dale Hall Primary School

Classroom Teacher – Year 2

Required from 01 September 2026

Maternity Cover Contract

Full time

MPR – UPR

We are looking for a Year 2 teacher to join our team on a maternity cover contract. We use continuous provision throughout KS1 and we are looking for a teacher who shares our vision. The transition from the Early Years Foundation Stage to Key Stage One can be challenging, and it’s essential to build an environment where children can explore, engage, and extend their learning in ways that suit their developmental stages. Does this sound like an approach you would like to explore?

At Dale Hall Primary School, we are proud to be a vibrant, inclusive, and forward-thinking school community where every child is encouraged to thrive. Our pupils are enthusiastic, curious, and eager to learn, and it is a privilege to work alongside them each day. We place great importance on nurturing not only academic success, but also confidence, creativity, and a strong sense of belonging.

Our staff is at the heart of everything we achieve. We are committed to creating a supportive and collaborative working environment where colleagues feel valued, respected, and empowered to develop professionally. Whether you are at the beginning of your career or bringing a wealth of experience, you will find a team that works together, shares good practice, and strives for continuous improvement.

We are proud of our positive ethos and strong sense of community. At Dale Hall, we believe that education should be engaging, meaningful, and inspiring. Our curriculum reflects this, offering rich learning experiences that encourage children to think deeply, ask questions, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

As a school, we are ambitious for our pupils and for our staff. We are committed to high standards while ensuring that wellbeing remains a priority. We recognise the importance of balance and aim to provide the support and guidance needed for all members of our team to succeed.

If you are passionate about making a difference in children’s lives and are looking to join a welcoming, dedicated, and enthusiastic team, we would be delighted to hear from you.

If you would like to have a chat about the role or wish to visit the school, please contact us on 01473 2551 651.
