An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Claydon High School as a Design Technology Technician, working within a strong and supportive team. The post will involve preparing and maintaining resources for teaching staff within the DT teaching team. Other duties will include technical assistance in class when required.
We are looking for a confident and committed individual with good communication skills. Ideally the successful candidate will have some relevant background experience in an educational setting. It would be desirable if applicants are able to provide some administrative support to departmental staff and are able to start at 8.30am to prepare resources prior to lessons beginning.
Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex. We are a small school with 773 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school. As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.
Closing date: Midday on Wednesday 2nd July 2025
Interviews: W/C Monday 7th July 2025
Penrose Learning Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to provide references, undergo employment checks and an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.
