Learning Support Assistant - Colchester Academy
Required as soon as possible (fixed-term contract until 31st August 2026)
Pay Scale 3, Point 4 - 5
Starting Salary: £ 7,383.22 (actual per annum)
Hours of work: 13 hours per week / 38 weeks per year (term-time only)
Working pattern: Tuesday & Wednesday 08:30am – 15:30pm with a daily 30 min unpaid break.

Colchester Academy is a thriving secondary school, looking to appoint a Learning Support
Assistant to join our Learning Support Team. The role will include providing support for students
with special educational needs both in and outside the classroom and is an excellent opportunity
as a first step into a teaching career.
The appointment is term-time only, 13 hours per week, 38 weeks per year.
Working days are Tuesday and Wednesday and the role is fixed-term to 31st August 2026.
