‘Be the best you can be’

An opportunity has arisen to join Claydon High School as a dedicated and enthusiastic Reading Progress Coach. This is a brand new role that has been created due to the importance of being a strong, fluent reader and the significant impact that this can have on students throughout their lives.

This role is central to helping students become confident, independent readers and to improving access to the wider curriculum. You will work closely with the SENDCo and Assistant Headteacher for Teaching and Learning to support students in developing strong reading, comprehension and literacy skills through running bespoke programmes of intervention.

Claydon High School is a popular, oversubscribed and friendly comprehensive school on the outskirts of Ipswich; we are situated close to the A14 with easy transport links across Suffolk and into Essex.  We are a small school with 767 students on roll which means that there is a close working relationship with all the staff and students in the school.  As part of the Penrose Learning Trust we also work closely with other schools within the MAT to achieve “excellence through collaboration”.

If you would like to have a chat about the post or visit the school please contact Sue Perrotton, Headteachers PA - admin@claydonhigh.com
