SEN Learning Support Assistant - Elmstead Primary School

Required from November 2024

Temporary contract

Scale 3 Point 5 – 6

Starting salary £11,739 (actual per annum)

Hours of work: 21 hours per week / 38 weeks per year (term time)

 

Elmstead Primary School are looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic and caring SEN Learning Support Assistant to support a specific learner in our Year 3 class.

Due to the role being linked to a specific pupil, the contract will continue until such time as the named pupil either leaves the school or the funding is withdrawn.

 

The ideal candidate will:

  • have experience of working with SEN children
  • be able to support specific learners by following programmes devised by the school
  • have the ability to work as part of a team, including outside professionals
  • use their own initiative to support the specific learners to make the best possible progress
  • be supportive, patient and have a caring nature
  • be able to remain calm and flexible and have a sense of humour
