Role available as either Part Time or Full Time
Hours and salary: 40 weeks per annum (term time + 5 PD days, plus one week
worked in school holiday)
- Part-time 22.5 hrs over 3 days - (starting salary £19,911 actual)
or
- Full time 37hrs hrs over 5 days - (starting salary £32,743 actual)
We are looking to recruit a qualified and enthusiastic HR professional to join our friendly and hardworking central team. You will work alongside our recently appointed Head of Service - HR to support the nine schools, within our Trust to develop and thrive, as well as supporting the development of other HR team members.
The key aspects of the role include:
- support the HR Manager to raise HR practice and procedure across the Trust
- support senior school leaders to develop their skills in dealing with complex people issues
- provide guidance and support in relation to all HR matters and lead on more complex case work
- assist in HR transactional and administrative processes
- attend and participate in HR related meetings
We would like the successful candidate to have:
- qualification to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent and be a member of CIPD
- knowledge and understanding of school teachers pay terms and conditions to include the ‘Burgundy book’
- knowledge and understanding of Support Staff terms and conditions to include the ‘Green book’
- outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
- organisational and planning skills
- a high level of IT literacy.

The central team, based at East Bergholt High School comprises Finance, HR, Estates and IT. These central teams work as a unit to support schools and Headteachers to deliver the best possible education. We pride ourselves on our positive, hardworking ethos and collegiate atmosphere.
