Higher Level Teaching Assistant - Great Bentley Primary School

Required from 30 June 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter

Permanent contract

Scale 5 Point 10 - 13

Starting Salary: £11, 917 (actual per annum)

Hours of work: 18hrs per wk/39wks per annum (term time + 5 PD days)

Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday (negotiable)– 8.45am to 3.15pm

 

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on working collaboratively, has a positive outlook and loves working with enthusiastic and amazing children in our wonderful school, situated next to the train station in Great Bentley, just 20 minutes from Clacton & 15 minutes from Colchester.

We are delighted to offer this exciting opportunity to join our nurturing, positive and collaborative working school as a HLTA, leading class cover lessons and individual/ group support sessions.  You would be joining a supportive school that prides itself on its forward thinking and teamwork, whilst being considerate of staff and pupil wellbeing.

You will:

  • Have experience of working with children
  • Be able to demonstrate the confidence and ability to manage children in a positive and friendly manner
  • Have the ability to use initiative, work as part of a team and have a good sense of humour
